The mission of Combat Camera is to provide Office of the Secretary of Defense and military commanders with a directed imagery capability in support of wartime operations, worldwide crises, contingencies, and joint exercises. Combat Camera Airmen perform unique and highly specialized missions supporting the full range of military operations in all operational environments. These Airmen maintain qualifications enabling them to operate with airborne forces and special operations forces. Their capabilities range from ground still and video imagery to aerial photography and videography. The imagery featured in this show was captured by the Airmen of the 1st Combat Camera Squadron, Joint Base Charleston, S.C., during Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, the humanitarian assistance missions in Haiti, Pakistan and New Orleans, as well as various military exercises across the country. All images have been cleared for release. Images are not for sale.
